Nachlat Binyamin arts and crafts fair was established in 1988. It is the oldest and biggest of its kind in Israel, and one of the nicest in the world. The market is home to over two hundred artists. Although it is an old market there is a lot of change taking place all the time either by new products made by exhibiting artists or new artists that join the market every year. The products made of wood, glass, fabric, plastic, paper, rocks and almost any anything – are all hand made by the artist who stands behind his stall.
The Nachlat Binyamin market is located in the center of a lively industrial vicinity. The market is neat and secure and there are many parking lots in its vicinity. Nachlat Binyamin street also houses many coffee shops and restaurants. Many local and foreign tourists visit the market also because of its very special urban surounding – the artistic architecture of the ancient Nachlat Binyamin street and the surounding streets and its closeness to Neve Tzedek. The authenticity and colorfull Carmel market and the adjoining Alenby street and the very special and up-to-date stores of Shenkin street also provide their contribution to the fun and special atmosphere of the Nachlat Binyamin market and its vicinity.
The Nachlat Binyamin arts and crafts fair is visited by about ten thousand visitors each week and during holidays as much as one hundred thousand. The reason is the wholness of the experience you will experience in the market. The fair is a very special experience. It is full of very special and unique hand made creations and designs, beautiful buildings, coffee shops and street performances and live music. All these make the fair a must in your itenerary and a great place to buy that special and original gift for the people you love and remember at home.
The artists in the market are obliged to be accepted by a special comitee. They must make the products themselves and must be the ones to sell their products.
